As I was picking up my system last week, I noticed that my fellow DJ Nick forgot to lock his storage locker when he left. So Sam and I took matters into our own hands. It is a longstanding tradition at Pro Sound & Light Show to playfully prank fellow DJ’s.
Traveling to Mobile Beat Las Vegas 2014 (MBLV18)
Since I earned the award of “DJ of the Year” at Pro Sound & Light Show for the past 2 years, I had a total of $400 credit built up where Pro Sound would reimburse me $400 towards any training I went to. Lucky for me, the Mobile Beat show qualified! So I packed my bags and flew to Las Vegas for a week to learn, network, and improve myself as a DJ.
Pro Sound DJ Gala 2012 and DJ of the YEAR!
Tonight was the Pro Sound & Light Show DJ Gala 2012, the annual awards banquet and ceremony where they give out bonuses and awards. I had a lot of fun, exchanging “war stories” with the other DJ’s and having a grand old time.
I did not, however, expect to be awarded DJ of the Year 2012! I’ve only been working with Pro Sound for 6 months, but I guess I’ve been doing a good enough job and getting raving reviews back from clients.
Here’s to making 2013 as good of a year as 2012 was!
