So, I was going through my webalizer statistics for my site here (www.amishgeek.com) and I discovered that this site gets more hits than my business site (www.utaria.net).

Yay!  So I finally got my H-Sphere accounts moved, thats good.  I also got my Quad Monitor Display set up at the office, and my Gaming system is back home with the Radeon All in Wonder, set to record the Screensavers off the Cable. 

Its like 3:30 am right now, and I havent had much sleep, I’m kinda giddy.

So after class last night (Tuesday) which I forgot that I had an assignment due for, I came down to the office to get some work done, and finish prepping Phoenix (one of my servers) for the dedicated server move for a customer of mine.

Since my office is in the back of the NorthLAN Gaming Center, I help out by watching over the store for them a couple times a week.  But last night, Jim (one of the owners) never came in to lock the front door, so Fish and I had to stay all night to make sure no one came and robbed the place.  I took this as an opportunity to finish up prepping the server so I could move the sites over this morning at 8 as planned.  I finished prepping the server at 2:30-3ish.

So I crashed from 3:30-7am on the couch in the front of Northlan.  At 7 I got up and got ready to make the move.  The move went fairly well, besides the fact that I had to sit around waiting for the stupid DNS to update.  I got the majority of things taken care of by noon, and went to class.  At 1, went to work at Computer Maintenance.

After work, I had a nice 15 minute walk home.  Its really warm here in duluth considering it had been below freezing last week.  Anyways, I ate some good home-made chili that Sunny made and watched some TV.  6:20 rolls around and I head off to church to work with the youth group.  Right as I am pulling into the parking lot, my phone rings.  Who is it?  The customer who’s dedicated server I moved that morning.  He was having some email problems (DNS related) and realserver problems (also DNS related).  So I had to skip youth, and go down to the office.  I got things taken care of and things are looking good again.  At least until I decide to tackle the Tomcat installation that has been kicking my butt for the last few weeks.

Yeah, its been a long 2 days… I’m looking forward to being done with account moves, server installations etc.  Maybe I’ll swing by the glencoe LAN this weekend.

So I was thinking the other day, that I should really put some time into this site, and make it really shnazzy.  Then I realized that I am an overworked workaholic.  Between my Class schedule, Work Schedule for Campus, and my Work Schedule for my own business, I barely even have time to sleep.

I’ll be happy when this account move is finished for my business, as my stress level will drop down back to normal, and I will actually have time to do the part of my business that I enjoy, working on sites.

So as I sit here at the Helpdesk, I though, why don’t I use this time to put a little elbow grease into my site, so that is what I am doing.  If the site doesnt appear that different, or the only new thing is this post, then you can only assume that either all hell broke loose and the phone is ringing on the hook, or my ever decreasing attention span has brought me over to the webhostingtalk forums.

So, as some people may have noticed, my site/server got hacked on 9/11, and me being the workaholic/lazy bum I am, got all my customer sites fixed right away, and forgot about my site…. So yeah, its fixed now.

Oh, and please donate to my powerbook fund! I really need a laptop!

Man have I been busy… putting in 40 hour weeks on campus…  This last weekend I spent at the cabin with the family, had some fun on the lake.  I hurt my knee, and my shin got swollen, and I think I may have bruised a rib tubing.  Boy was that fun!

Maybe now that my schedule has rearranged, I can get some time to work on my business.  I need a business plan.

It sucks being busy… but the paychecks are nice 

So, I get to work today, and Novell is down. That sucks. Finally it comes up, and I stop getting insane amounts of phone calls…

I find out that I get to work till 4:30 today instead of 12:15 like I thought.. but oh well, I need the hours.

I hope I can get a good nights sleep tonight, but I’ll be working at northlan until midnight, so Yeah, I’ll be putting in a 16 hour day.

Thank goodness its Friday! This has been an extremely long week. This last week, I worked 40 hours at the Helpdesk, and am definately ready for the weekend. Although I am meeting with lois to show her how to use her churches website. Meh…

The 4th of July will be nice… looking forward to next weekend!

I really really really want a mac powerbook. So I just added a donation link to the site. Not that there are any visitors, but hey! a guy can hope cant he?

Finally after a long time of being down, AmishGeek.com is back online! w00t!  I finally have had a little bit of time to put into the site now, so its not much yet, but it will grow as I have time.
