Another Easter :)

April 12, 2004 by Aaron

Well, yesterday was another lovely Easter Sunday.  I always like easter, as it is a time to spend time with family, and remember that Jesus Christ our Lord has Risen from the grave and conquered sin.  I had a good weekend, spending time with my family, I got a little bit of work done on some websites thanks to my New Laptop :)  After Church on Sunday, we went to my Aunt Vernice’s house where I ate too much good food, and then some of us went out back and shot off my Uncle Verlin’s .22 Pistol that he brought.

After lunch, I headed back to Duluth, but swung by Princeton to see my Girlfriend and meet her family.  They’re pretty cool people too.  After a few hours hanging out there, I made my way back to Duluth.

Now here I sit, Monday evening, working away at the Helpdesk.  Maybe now that I have a laptop, I can get more work done… but then again, maybe not?

Life, and other things…

March 29, 2004 by Aaron

Well, over the next week or so, I, along with the other new Exec members will be stepping up into our leadership positions in Intervarsity.  So we will need prayer about that for the next year.  I am excitied, as God has many wonderful things planned for this next year, and I pray that I we can be tools in his hand to be a witness to our campus.

I’m also looking forward to going home for the summer, as I will be doing an internship with YouthQuake.  I’m also really excited about being a part with what God is doing in my hometown with the youth there.  I also hope to disciple some of the kids that are planning on coming to Duluth for school next year to build a relationship with them that can continue after the summer.

Among all the other things going on amidst the clutter and confusion which is life, I can say that I am at peace.  Reading through John right now, I am gaining a whole new perspective on Jesus’s ministry here on earth.  Also reading in 1 Peter about living right for God has really put a burden on my heart to lead a small group next year on Holiness…  All in all, I’m doing good :)

Crazy Funness…

March 12, 2004 by Aaron

So I’ve been asked to be on Exec/Student leadership team for InterVarsity next year.  I’m excited, God’s going to do some amazing things this next year.  We have our first Exec meeting (the new crew) in a few weeks to do some team builing and plan for the next year.

I’ve updated some things on the site.  Added some new videos that I picked up from my friend marc.  They’re in the Cool Stuff link.  I’ll be working on this site more as I have time.

Thats all for now, move along!

Interesting…

February 13, 2004 by Aaron

Why is it that we geeks tend to be more productive in the wee hours of the night? It is 4:33am right now, and I am pulling an all nighter since I knew that if I would have went home and gone to bed, I wouldn’t have woke up for my 9am class. So here I sit with a 12pack of Mt. Dew and boy am I being productive!

I got a forum set up for Utaria : http://forum.utaria.net hopefully this will help me bring in more customers, and provide better support for my existing customers.

I also got quite a bit done on my main Utaria.net site as well. Now I just need to get the servers migrated and then get Integra all set up and running :)

I’m thinking now that I will be selling AFNHost.com and the site with it. I don’t have the time or engergies to put into that alongside Utaria and Integra. Especially since AFN is in direct competition with Utaria, whereas Integra is a niche market. (Plus, AFNhost.com has brought me no new customers since I bought it back in August).

In other news, my friend Marc dedicated his life to Jesus this last week! AMEN! I’ve been praying for him for this last year, and it is so awesome the way God has worked in his life these last few weeks.

Well, I think this is enough of a caffeine induced rambling, time to go do some more productive things!

Back from Breakaway!

February 1, 2004 by Aaron

I’m back from Intervarsity’s Breakaway winter retreat.  This year it was an evangelism summit, I was in the Leadership Development track, where we talked and learned about developing leadership within our Intervarsity chapter.  I hope that I can play an important role in leadership within IV this next year.  I feel that I am an important asset to the chapter that should be used.

At the moment, I’m at work, putzing around like usual.  I really should work on my business plan.  Or at least work on a few of my sites on my to-do list.  At least the new Utaria.net is up! :)

too little time…

January 18, 2004 by Aaron

I haven’t had much time lately to put into my site here, but I wish I did.  I’ve been pretty busy lately with work and other things.  I’m waiting to hear back about another loan for my business to purchase some more servers.  That will really set me up good for a while, and I shouldn’t have to purchase any more until the end of next summer hopefully.

Work has been keeping me busy, but it will drop off here because school starts again on Tuesday.  I’m thinking of dropping one of my classes to bring me down to 12 credits to save on time and money.

Church was really good this morning, Pastor Kevin spoke on Abortion and what the Bible says about life and babies.  He spoke from Luke 1-3.  I also got a new Bible yesterday since I lost my other one.  I prefer to read/study on my own from the New King James version.  I don’t know why, but I like reading the NKJV more than the NIV or the NRSV.

Well, off to have some good chili with friends :)

Back from Urbana! And fixed the site :)

January 5, 2004 by Aaron

Well, I am back from Urbana, it was Awesome!  When i get more time, I’ll post a page detailing my experiences at Urbana 03.

I moved the site to a different server of mine to free up some resources, and I had a little problem with the move process.  I got it fixed partially, so the site is back online! Yay!

Well, back to work!

Busy… ugh!

December 16, 2003 by Aaron

So I’ve been very busy lately, with school and work and finals and work and finals etc…. grr…  I havent posted for a while, so I’m taking a break here at work (well, i wasnt really doing anything in the first place) to post a new announcement.  I also changed the banner, since I felt it was time for a change. :)

My new wheels are treating me well…  I forked over $80 to get a mounting kit for my cd player, so I can now listen to cd’s in my car, yay!

Urbana is coming up real soon, I’m excited for that.  Really excited! :)  After I get back from that, I need to finish up my integrahosting.net project and get info sent out to all of the churches in the twin ports area.  Then I get to work like a mad man making websites for churches. >:D

The Hawthorn 2.0 lan party that my friend josh and I ran this last weekend went very well.  We had 50+ people there, and everyone had a good time.  I now need to get my LAN Can built. I’ll start posting specs on what I have and what I need to build it.

Well, back to doing nothing!

New wheels!

November 28, 2003 by Aaron

Ok, so my car died… boo hoo, sometimes life sucks, then you get over it.  I went home for thanksgiving, had a blast hanging out with the fam, ate too much turkey (who didn’t?), and then today (friday) went car shopping with my dad.  We went perusing around the dealers in St. Cloud, and saw a few cars we liked.  There was a 5 speed prism, a couple of saturns, a cavalier.  But the majority were out of our price range.  I wanted to keep the payments below $200/mo so that meant $5000 or less for my car.  Well, we got to Tenvoorde Ford, where I got the Sunbird a year and a half ago (may it R.I.P.), and we found this little 97 Mercury Tracer.

Its a 4 door, Automatic 4-cylinder that has cruise, AC and keyless entry.  Its more compact than my Sunbird was, but I drove a metro in high school, and so I’m used to that.  The seats arent the most comfortable, and its this ugly puce green.  But it was the perfect price.  $3790, and it has Cruise Control! (which I badly need if I don’t want to get a 6th speeding ticket)

So, I got a new pair of wheels.  My next week will be spent trying to figure out how to mount my Pioneer CD deck in it so I can listen to CD’s.  If you ask nicely, I might give you a ride :)

Yay for snowboards!

November 24, 2003 by Aaron

YAY!!! Its snowing!  After church today, a friend and I went snowboarding.  We had a blast! Even though we only were out for an hour.  The wind was really hard, and cold.

Some news on my car situation:  I might be getting an 02 Ford Focus… But that all depends on if the financing comes through.  If it doesn’t then I’ll be driving my parents truck for a while.  But I really want to get my own car, and be less dependant on my parents.  But at the same time, I don’t have much money…

Yeah, so Thursday is Turkey Day! Yay!  I love mashed potatoes… I’ll probably eat a pot of them at home this Thurs… Since Thanksgiving is at our place this year.

Well, of for now…
