Brandon and Rachel – Caribou Highlands in Lutsen MN

When I was asked to DJ this wedding, I thought the name on the workorder looked familiar.  Sure enough, when I called my clients (Brandon & Rachel) it turned out that Brandon was one of my buddies that had moved away.  They simply ordered a DJ through Pro Sound & Light show and were surprised to find me DJ’ing their wedding.

This family was so much fun to DJ for, it was a beautiful reception at the Lutsen Ski Resort, and Rachel had a special surprise for Brandon during their first dance.  It was a song that she recorded of herself playing guitar and singing, and it was beautiful.

Webster High School Dance

Webster WI is a small town about an hour south of Superior, WI.  This school knows how to have a good time, and the kids had a blast!  The school liaison was so impressed that they requested me personally to come back and do their winter ball!

I can’t wait to come back and DJ for this school again!

Bo and Jamie Wedding – Spirit MT Chalet

This was my first Gay Wedding.  I did the sound for the ceremony outside on the hill overlooking the bay and Lake Superior, and then we had the reception upstairs in the chalet.  My fellow DJ Carie Burkhart was with me and this was one of the most fun receptions I had.

Unfortunately this wedding was in symbolism only, since gay marriage is not yet legal in MN, but it was still a very special day.

The dance floor was packed, and I received tons of compliments from guests telling me how much fun they had.

Willow River School Dance

Willow River is a small town about 30 minutes south of Duluth.  This was a really fun school dance, it was after a football game, and the kids were definitely exhausted by the end of the night.  The gym’s dance floor was hopping all night long, and the group dances (cupid shuffle, cha cha slide, etc) were a big hit as always.

John and Leah Wedding – Blackwoods, Proctor MN

This wedding was a huge success!  The Blackwoods staff were friendly and amazing as usual (I like DJ’ing at Blackwoods), and the family was really fun.

I played pretty much nothing but guest requests all night long and the crowd was great!

Steve and Jessica Wedding – Lakewoods Resort, Cable WI

Another successful wedding reception at Lakewoods Resort!   The staff was excellent, the Bride & Groom had a great time.  I always like DJ’ing at Lakewoods.  Halfway during the dance everyone took a break to light off lanterns to float away into the sky.

Jenna and Jeff Wedding – DECC Duluth MN

I knew this wedding was going to be awesome before I even arrived.  In talking to my clients (Jeff & Jenna) beforehand, I knew they were a high-energy couple, and they had a huge plan for their grand march introduction to the reception.   One of the friends of the goom dressed up in a basketball jersey, and the bridesmaids and groomsman formed a team huddle/tunnel as I announced them.  Jeff & Jenna came into the room passing a basketball between them and the entire room went wild.

The dance floor was packed the whole night, and as I was packing up at the end of the night even the bartender at the DECC commented on how good of a night it was, he hadn’t seen a dance floor stay that packed that late into the night before.

Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures or video from this reception 🙁

Steve and Jade Wedding – Two Harbors MN

Wow!  Steve & Jade’s wedding was awesome!  Inside a huge tent in their family’s yard, there were over 600 people there!

The dancing and party went all night long, and everyone had a great time.

Matt and Tonia Wedding – Blackwoods in Proctor MN

Matt and Tonia’s wedding was a lovely reception at Blackwoods Grill in Proctor.  I enjoy DJ’ing at Blackwoods, their staff is amazing, and it’s just a great venue to have an awesome dance!

The dance floor was packed all night long, and everyone had a blast.  I received quite a few compliments from guests wishing that I had DJ’ed their wedding.

Joe and Brittany Wedding – Edgewater Resort, Duluth MN

With my fellow DJ Joe Thoennes, we rocked this wedding!  The crowd was a blast, the dance floor was packed the whole night, and Joe & Brittany had a great time.  The Edgewater staff was also amazing with dinner and everything as well.
